Megabass Respect Series # 85 - Frozen Shad

Frozen Shad is a color that was used on the Baby Griffon and Live X Smolt, which were introduced as part of the Area Trout Limited Series in 2009.
 
It has a simple color scheme with a pale blue pearl base and a smoky black back, but the matte coat finish on the entire body gives it a striking color. Although it is a pearlescent color, it also has a transparency that allows it to blend in with the water, and it combines moderate appeal with a lively, lifelike feel.

This color is best used in large areas where stained water is the norm, such as reservoirs and rivers in early spring. Because it is an expanding color that appeals over a wide area, it will demonstrate high fishing performance even in muddy water caused by rain.
 
The blue pearl base with a matte black back is simple, but the paint is carefully designed to achieve the pearl texture when completed. The coloring is perfect, from adjusting the paint to painting, so that the fine particles of the pearl paint will shine beautifully when the final matte coat is applied.

What's noteworthy is the flickering effect created by the combination of the expanding pearl color and the black back, which induces a reaction bite when the lure rolls. Originally designed for wary area trout, this color is also effective in tough bass fishing conditions.
