Mat Blue Shiner is built for anti-glare performance. A matte black-to-blue back kills surface flash, while a semi-translucent pearl silver along the flanks lets light pass through instead of bouncing off it — mimicking the soft, natural sheen of a live baitfish rather than a hard metallic flash.
 
That's what makes this an all-round pattern for clear conditions — where a flashy chrome bait spooks more fish than it catches. On a jerkbait retrieve, the matte back and translucent sides produce a subtle pulse instead of a hard flash — enough to trigger a reaction strike without tipping off wary fish.
